During the 18th International scientific conference named after professor Aleksander Zeliaś, under the title “Modeling and forecasting of socioeconomic phenomena,” held on May 12–15, 2025, in Zakopane, the Professor Kazimierz Zając Awards were presented. These awards, funded by us, recognize the best paper and poster by a young researcher.
Two individuals received the awards:
– Ms Kornelia Kłopecka for the paper “The triad of deprivation: poverty, energy poverty and health in Central and Eastern Europe – insights from structural equation modeling,” by Kornelia Kłopecka and Sławomir Śmiech (Cracow University of Economics),
and
– Mr Krystian Szczęsny for the poster “The impact of extreme dependencies on value at risk: application of distorted mix copula” (Krystian Szczęsny, Cracow University of Economics).
The commemorative diplomas were handed over on our behalf by professor Andrzej Sokołowski, accompanied by the chair of the scientific committee, professor Józef Pociecha.
