In the doctoral thesis category, the Committee awarded two equal main prizes to:
- Dr. Marlena Białecka for the thesis titled “Perception and Understanding of Speech in Individuals with Severe Intellectual Disabilities: An Analytical-Critical Study”, defended at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The supervisor of the thesis was prof. Jacek Błeszyński from the Department of Special Education, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.
The prize of PLN 6,000 gross will be split equally between the author and the supervisor.
The prize for the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, which promoted the thesis, is a closed training course Statistics in Scientific Research – Applications and Best Practices for a group of faculty staff.
- Dr. Damian Mikulski for the thesis titled “The Role of Circulating miRNAs in Predicting Treatment Outcomes, Complications, and Toxicity in Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation”, defended at the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Łódź. The supervisor of the thesis was prof. Wojciech Fendler from the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine, Medical University of Łódź.
The prize of PLN 6,000 gross will be split equally between the author and the supervisor.
The prize for the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Łódź, which promoted the thesis, is a closed training course Statistics in Scientific Research – Applications and Best Practices for a group of faculty staff.
In the master’s and bachelor’s thesis category, the Committee awarded a prize to:
- M.A. Patryk Augustyniok for the thesis titled “Application of Quantitative Methods to Assess Airport Efficiency: A Case Study of Warsaw Chopin Airport”, defended at the Faculty of Economics and Finance, Wrocław University of Economics. The supervisor of the thesis was Dr. Eng. Agnieszka Marciniuk from the Department of Statistics, Wrocław University of Economics.
The prize of PLN 3,000 gross will be split equally between the author and the supervisor.
The prize for the Faculty of Economics and Finance at Wrocław University of Economics, which promoted the thesis, is a closed training course Statistics in Scientific Research – Applications and Best Practices for a group of faculty staff.
